Witchy Mama Update: A New Lair, Manifestation Magic, & Finding My Spark Again

Dark greetings, magical mamas and mysterious minds! Your resident Scorpio Panda here, finally emerging from the shadows with a major update and a whole cauldron of thoughts to spill.

So, buckle up for some big news: I've moved! Consider this my official announcement. I've been quietly manifesting my dream lair with the perfect space for an herb garden, and guess what? It's finally a reality! We even sealed the deal by burying some elements of the spell on the property – a witch has to stake her claim, right?

Let's be real, the last few months have been...intense. Between May and September of last year, some serious darkness descended on my world. There was trauma, deep shadow work, and a whole lot of reaching out to my ancestors and deities for guidance while I navigated the underworld. My usual rituals and spellcasting took a backseat, but that's part of the ebb and flow of a witch's life, isn't it?

But hey, your girl is a survivor. There's a flicker of my old fire returning, and this new house is fanning those flames. I'm embracing the outdoors (as much as a witchy nerd can) and soaking up the energy of our waterfront location near the Chesapeake Bay. As a Scorpio, the water element feels like a homecoming. Plus, the fact that Blackbeard used to roam nearby tickles my inner pirate-witch...I might just have to experiment with some swashbuckling magic. Sometimes, late at night, I can hear distant foghorns while I'm doing rituals – it adds a beautifully haunting touch. And I've already started befriending the local crows – a witch has to keep her feathered familiars happy!

There are practical wins too. The kids are thriving in an amazing school district (yes, manifested!). I get to be the resident weirdo who volunteers at school events, much to their alternating amusement and horror – the usual mom stuff.

I've also become a regular at the Edgar Cayce A.R.E. here in Virginia Beach. If you haven't experienced their meditation gardens and mind-blowing metaphysical library, add it to your witchy bucket list! It's a truly special place. I'll be sharing more about it on the blog soon. I'm also envisioning ways my spiritual crafts and artwork might find a home in their gift shop one day.

Life hasn't been all moonlit rituals and manifestation lately. Losing our dog Sheila last year and our hamster Muffin recently was a gut punch. My familiar crew is a bit smaller these days.

Things aren't perfect, but they're better. I still find the beauty in the darkness, the magic amidst the chaos. I have goals, a newfound appreciation for self-care, and I know my younger witchy self would be damn proud of the woman I've become.

So, prepare yourselves, my nocturnal loves! New printables, seaside spells inspired by sand and salt, and a whole lot of witchy-mom realness are coming your way. Thanks for sticking by me, even when this Scorpio Panda went into full-on hibernation mode.
